Custom built campervans are everywhere at the moment.  And with an endless supply of designs, gadgets and furniture to kit out your camper, the only limit to what you can achieve is your imigination.  There are loads of videos and articles on the "right way" to convert your van, as well as lots of advice on how "not to do it".  When planning our van, we looked at what would work for us, not necessarily what looks the best.  What we wouldn't compromise on though, was safety - but more on that later.
